Learning on the Land - School-wide experience
To bring to life the First Peoples Principles of Learning as well as the interconnections in the curriculum, we had a school-wide field experience to learn on the land. Students engaged in nature routines, such as nature walk, sit spot, circle, and nature journalling. They also participated in a photo scavenger hunt to learn about the stories of Place and the significance of the Fraser River. This connected outdoor learning experience brought students, staff, and families together with a shared purpose of connecting to the land.
