This is just a reminder for families that if you are dropping off a lunch for your child, we ask that you please do so by leaving it at the shelf at the main entrance. Please do not go to your child’s classroom door and hand it to them directly as we require all doors except for the front entrance to be locked during the school day for safety reasons. Also, if you need to pick up your child during the school day for an appointment, please come to the office to let us know that you are at the school to pick up your child. We ask that you do not pick them up from the classroom doors. This step will help ensure that we know where all of our students are during the school day. As Jessie Wowk is an “allergy aware” school, we are kindly asking that when preparing your child’s snack and lunch, please refrain from including any items containing tree nuts or peanuts. This can include peanut butter sandwiches, nut mixes, granola bars with nuts, and any other nut based products. We are also asking for families to please remind your child to not share snacks or lunches with others during the school day.
