Fundraising Update:

  • Representatives from sub committees should attend PAC meetings to update PAC and the school.  In past years, sub committees such as the grad committee or outdoor ed have been in close contact with PAC executives.  This year, the grad committee has yet to provide updates to PAC executives nor at a PAC meeting.  Upon the request of the principal, a written update has been submitted for tonight’s meeting.
  • Alaric went over “The Role of Committees in PACs and DPACs” - Tab 12 Page 3.  The read out is as follows:

Committees are technically “committees of the executive” and are overseen by the executive. The president is an ex officio member of every committee, meaning a member “by virtue of his of her position”. The president does not have to attend every committee meeting, but is responsible for overseeing the committee to ensure it is working effectively

  • A Terms of Reference sample in the BCCPAC handbook may be used as guidance for future sub committees to avoid any miscommunications or assumptions.
  • Krispy Kreme - raised $1800, which went to outdoor ed
  • May 12 - final fundraiser for Gr.7 grads farewell. So far, the grad committee has raised approximately $2400
  • Bake Sale on April 21 raised $179 for Outdoor Ed 2023
