Volunteering for PAC

  • Expectations and the SPIRIT of volunteering is to willingly give your own time and resources to help enrich the student school experience.
  • Reimbursements are normally accepted for PAC expenses which a volunteer has paid upfront.  These costs are verified with original receipts by the treasurer or PAC exec team.
  • Reimbursements are meant to reimburse, not to enrich the claimant.
  • Reimbursement claims for gas has occurred twice in 2022 over the past 10 years of available PAC financials.  In both instances, the claim was inaccurate and excessively overstated.
  • PAC does not have a policy of accepting gas claims.   It is the view of the current PAC Exec team that gas claims will not be accepted.
  • If gas expense is an issue for any fundraiser, it is recommended to reach out to the school community to see if any parent/guardian would be available to donate their time/resource instead.
  • PAC’s overarching focus is on our students.  Reimbursement claims that are overstated only serves to take away from the very students being fundraised for.
  • Always ask PAC beforehand if you are unsure about reimbursements.
