Financial Report

  • As of Apr 21, this is our financial position
    • General Account Balance - $65,687.96
    • Gaming Account Balance - $3,987.95
    • Note the balances are just a snapshot.  Munch A Lunch forwards us the money for the fund raisers we have already scheduled and we have not incurred the costs for many of the fund raisers yet even the ones that have already happened as cheques have not been cashed.
  • Total funds raised from food days so far to date - $14,500.56 with 54 food days.
  • Revenue and Expenses in April were mainly related to the food days.
  • We have not received the invoices for the projectors yet (approx. $13,000)
  • The Gaming Account (a government grant) has been earmarked for use to fund the Saleema Noon presentations and for fine art presentations.

Playground

  • The wooden playground belongs to the City of Richmond
  • Back playground is Jessie Wowk’s
    • Upgrade to the playground will not be a District’s project
    • We can fundraise the funds but need to have volunteers to build it or pay someone to do it
    • Wowk is not high on the list for playground replacement by the District
  • Fundraising can be a 5-year plan
    • Need to determine what we want, then figure what price, what can make a difference for our learners
    • Need to vote on it
    • There are a lot of grants out there that we could apply for
    • There are other schools that have done it and we can reach out to them

Track Attack

  • Will ask for parent volunteers to drive (may have one set of kids for driving there and another set of kids for picking up)
  • Teachers will sign out the kids when they leave when a designated parent / parent volunteer physically picks them up

Next PAC Meeting

  • Set for May 28, 2024 (Tues)
  • Voting for the 2024/2025 PAC Executive Members will occur at this meeting, including the positions of Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Members at large
